Imprinted
this little guy landed in my lap, an anti-social trouble maker. the neighbors crossed the street when they saw us coming up the sidewalk. he was a fighter. i was committed, but not bonded. i was a faithful keeper, took him everywhere, even where i shouldn't. he shouldn't be left alone, lonely. so many months, now years. this loyal boy is my faithful companion. now i look for him. now i want him with me, everywhere. now i can't resist this face. imprinted.

It's hard to justify leisure when there's so many tasks looming
Recreation's purpose is not to kill time,
but to make life,
not to keep a person occupied,
but to keep them refreshed:
not to offer an escape from life,
but to provide a discovery of life.

not to offer an escape from life,

imprinted
this little guy landed in my lap. he was a bit of a trouble maker. he fought. neighbors would cross the street with their dogs, when they saw us coming up the sidewalk. he went everywhere with me. i was a loyal keeper, but no attachment, mostly obligation. years have past. i now look for him. he's my loyal friend. imprinted.
