this little guy landed in my lap. he was a bit of a trouble maker. he fought. neighbors would cross the street with their dogs, when they saw us coming up the sidewalk. he went everywhere with me. i was a loyal keeper, but no attachment, mostly obligation. years have past. i now look for him. he's my loyal friend. imprinted.

I feel different than everyone else

We are just coming off a very cold winter and I can feel the cold just looking at this shot. I didn't take it, I don't take credit for it. I just appreciate it.

I wonder if the white elk some how knows he's different than the rest? Wishful thinking says yes, then no. Yes, she knows and delights and understands her gift as great. No, she has no idea, and her pride is one of certain belonging. She has no reason to question her place in the kingdom, which is her corner of the world.
